A project-based approach to my photographic practice provides focus, meaning and purpose, and allows me to differentiate stories
I work on some projects for years, whereas I have completed other projects in days. Sometimes the project is pre-defined and pre-visualised, sometimes the form and narrative of the project emerges after producing the work.
I am interested in how visual imagery can be converted into stories, and how the viewer acts as interpreter - using their own experience and mental models to convert the intention of the photographer into a message that impacts the viewer.
